330ml version, Chimay Triple / Blanche:
  • Name: Chimay Triple / Blanche, 8%, Belgium
  • Appearance: Golden, nice amount of head - not longlasting. Last bit a bit cloudy.
  • Aroma: Bit of fruit. Citrusy.
  • Taste: Hopsy, bit of fruit. Bitterish.
  • Bought: Beers of Europe, 330 ml, £1.79
  • Overall score: 3/6

750ml version, Chimay Cinq Cents:
  • Name: Chimay Cinq Cents, 8%, Belgium
  • Appearance: Hazy golden. Good amount of off-white head. Sediments and floaty bits.
  • Aroma: Fruit and citrus. Wood. Fresh.
  • Taste: Hops and citrus. Nice aftertaste.
  • Bought: Beers of Europe, 750 ml, £4.55
  • Overall score: 4/6*
  • Info: 10/6-2008, 194/500
* I gave the Blanche version 3/6, so I might be enjoying Triples more now, two years later.
