  • Name: Amazon Beer Forest Pilsen, 4.1%, Brazil
  • Appearance: Medium golden, very slight haze. Small, off-white head.
  • Aroma: Pale malt, light fruits. Cereal. Mostly invisible hops
  • Taste: Sweet pale malt, some grains. Forgettable.
  • Bought: Beers of Europe, 330 ml, £1.99
  • Score: 2.4 (Aroma 5/10, Appearance 2/5, Taste 5/10, Palate 2/5, Overall 10/20)

Skol (Brazil)

New brewery:
  • Name: Skol (Brazil), 4.7%, Brazil
  • Appearance: Pale yellow golden, very clear. Small, fizzy head.
  • Aroma: Very pale malt, sweet syrup. Slight grains.
  • Taste: Sweet pale malt, slight grains. Nothing special.
  • Bought: Wittich, 350 ml can, CHF 3.60
  • Score: 1.9 (Aroma 4/10, Appearance 2/5, Taste 4/10, Palate 2/5, Overall 7/20)

Xingu

Raising my glass to my old classmate KTK, who died last week.
  • Name: Xingu, 4.6%, Brazil
  • Appearance: Dark brown. Little bit of tan head.
  • Aroma: Dark malt, roasted. Hint of chocolate and raisins.
  • Taste: Some malt, slightly sweet. Surprisingly nice.
  • Bought: Beers of Europe, 355 ml, £1.29
  • Overall score: 4/6

  • Appearance: Very light golden. Tiny amount of head.
  • Aroma: Not much. Bit of malt, hops and fruit.
  • Taste: Pretty boring. Little bit of hops and malt.
  • Bought: Beers of Europe, 350 ml, £1.09
