600 beers

The last 100 beers has taken me 8 months. The status now is 203 beers from the 300-book, 219 from the 500-book and 23 from the 100-book. This means that of the last 100 beers 20 were from the 300-book and 21 were from the 500-book. Quite good. I have been able to tick 8 new countries, making the total 64.

It has taken me 2 years to go from 100 to 200 in the 500-book. The first 100 were done in 13.5 months. Progress is getting slower and slower, unfortunately. I'd better find a new source soon.

Halfway to 1000 (quingenti)

The last 100 beers has taken me 9 months (same as the previous 100). The status now is 183 beers from the 300-book and 198 from the 500-book. This means that of the last 100 beers 10 were from the 300-book and 16 were from the 500-book. At least I have been able to tick 11 new countries, making the total 56.

400 bottles - trajectory's looking good

Then there were 400. The first 100 bottles took me 7 months, the second and third 100 took me 6 months each, and the last 100 has taken me 9 months. I have deliberately slowed down a little bit. The status now is 173 beers from the 300-book and 182 from the 500-book. This means that of the last 100 beers only 9 were from the 300-book and only 21 were from the 500-book. I should be able to make some progress when I order from a new source in January! At least I have been able to tick 17 new countries, making the total 45.

Even Stevens

Not exactly a landmark, but it is now Even Stevens between the 500-book and the 300-book as I have now reached 164 in both books. The beers I have lined up at the moment indicate that I will continue to make more progress in the 500-book than in the 300-book...

300 bottles and counting...

Another round number. So, the first 100 bottles took me 7 months, the second 100 took me 6 months, and the last 100 also took me 6 months. The status now is 164 beers from the 300-book and 161 from the 500-book. This means that of the last 100 beers only 12 were from the 300-book and 69 were from the 500-book. Almost finished with Beers of Europe now, so I have to find a new source soon...

100/500

It has taken me 13.5 months to reach 100 in the 500-book. The first 50 were done in 6.5 months. Most of the beers in the pipeline are from the 500-book, so should be able to do the next 50 in say 4 months?!

200 bottles of beer in the attic...

Another round number already. Reached 100 bottles in 7 months, and 200 bottles in 13 months. I've now done 152 beers from the 300-book and 92 beers from the 500-book. Most of the beers in the pipeline are now from the 500-book, so should hit 100/500 in two-three weeks time.

150/300

Halfway through the 300-book now, and it has taken me 12.5 months. The first 50 took around 3 months, the second 50 around 5 months, and the third 50 around 4.5 months. Getting very tricky now to source more 300-beers, so will be ordering more 500-beers from now on to catch up there.

1 year anniversary

It is today one year since this "project" started, and I managed to go through 179 bottles from 23 different countries in the first year. 146 of them were in the 300-book and 77 were in the 500-book. Almost halfway through the first book, then :-).

100/300

Reached the magic 100 number after a bit under eight months, whereas I reached 50 in under three months. I find it harder to get hold of the beers now, especially as I for now limit myself to bottles only. Beers of Europe has helped me along a lot lately, but I think that will come to an end soon as well. Will probably start buying more 500-book beers soon...

So, after 100 bottles of beer in 7 months, I've done 91 beers from the 300-book and 53 beers from the 500-book. The focus at this point has primarily been on the 300-book. When I start getting problems sourcing more beers, the focus will change more to the 500-book.

OK, so managed to try 50 of the 300 beers in just under three months. Not bad, but it is probably going to be harder to source beers as quickly as this later in the project.
