  • Aroma: Malt and hops, slight sweetness.
  • Taste: Quite bitter, also sweet. Some malt. Standard, nothing exciting.

Shepherd Neame Whitstable Bay

Bought in Budgens in Sawbridgeworth, England.
  • Name: Shepherd Neame Whitstable Bay, 4.5%, England
  • Appearance: Clear golden orange. Little bit of fizzy head.
  • Aroma: Grass and some hops. Yeast.
  • Taste: Grass, skunk. Not nice at all. Some bitterness.
  • Bought: Budgens, 500 ml, £2.07
  • Overall score: 1/6

I am not sure whether this bottle was off, or if it is actually supposed to taste this bad. It is a clear bottle, so you never know if too much light might have ruined it.

I bought this from Beers of Europe because it was listed under "Switzerland". Quite disappointing that it turns out to be brewed by Shepherd Neame here in the UK...

  • Aroma: Not much. Bit of malt and hops, I guess.
  • Taste: Some malt and hops. Quite boring.
