  • Aroma: Vinous, raisins. Honey. Bit of alcohol.
  • Taste: Vinous, ripe fruit. Caramel? Honey. Nice, complex.

  • Appearance: Chestnut brown. Hazy. Lots of longlasting white head.
  • Aroma: Some malt and hops. Hint of yeast? Some fruit.
  • Taste: Bit of malt, hops. Nicely balanced, but slightly watery.

* The beer in the 500-book is referred to as "Lees Manchester Champion Beer", but based on the label in the picture and some internet-searching, it seems like this is indeed the "Lees John Willies".
