Budweiser Budvar Dark

After having an expired version on Isle of Wight, I could finally try it properly:

• Name: Budweiser Budvar Dark, 4.7%, Czech Republic
• Appearance: Dark, dark brown. A lot of head, though shortlived.
• Aroma: Malty. Raisins. Coffee.
• Taste: Malt and coffee-ish. Bitter. Smooth.
• Bought: Beers of Europe, 500 ml, £1.49
• Overall score: 4/6

Budweiser Budvar

Not to be confused with the rather less exciting US Budweiser:

• Name: Budweiser Budvar, 5%, Czech Republic
  
• Appearance: Very pale, dark yellow. Almost not head at all.
  
• Aroma: Fruity, hint of hops.
  
• Taste: Hint of hops, very fresh. Little bit fruity.
  
• Bought: Oddbins, 330 ml, £1.29
